HEALING POWER OF WATER Hydrotherapy involves using water to treat diseases and ease physical pain. It is one of the oldest forms of medical treatment and the curative properties of water are recorded in the writings of several ancient cultures. Hippocrates advocated the benefits of both hot and cold water and prescribed them for a variety of complaints. That the mucousal folds of colon and intestines are activated by this method, is an undisputed fact. Just as the theory that new fresh blood is produced by the absorption of the nutrients of the food by the function of the mucousal. If the colon is cleaned then the nutrients of the food taken several times in a day will be absorbed and by the action of the mucousal folds, they are turned into fresh blood. This blood is all important in curing ailments and restoring health, and for this, water should be consumed in a regular pattern.

METHOD TO PRACTICE 'WATER THERAPY'
Every morning, as soon as one gets up, he should drink 1.26kg (1260cc/ml) of water at a stretch, without washing teeth, mouth, face or even eyes (THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT). For the next 45 minutes, one SHOULD NOT EAT OR TAKE ANY BEVERAGES. After the Night Dinner (before going to bed), one SHOULD NOT EAT OR DRINK STIMULATING BEVERAGES OR SOFT DRINKS"Where water contains impurities, it should be boiled in the night to be used in the morning.
Now all this triggers the inevitable question: "Can sickly persons drink 1260cc (about 4 steel glasses of 320cc or 2 bottles of syrup) of water at a stretch?" Perhaps no. After drinking maximum quantity of water , one should do "SPOTWALKING", lie for one minute and then drink the remaining water. Those who are weak to walk should practise abdominal breathing in a sitting or a standing posture and drink the rest of the water. During the first one or two days, one may urinate three to four times within one hour of water intake. However everything will be normal within 3 or 4 days.

Arthritis patients should follow the above treatment for only 3 days. In the 1st week to be followed by daily treatment. Persons suffering from ARTHRITIS and RHEUMATISM should practice WATER THERAPY three times a day for one week and thereafter once in a day. While following this therapy, one should drink water 2 hours after a meal. One should not consume soft drinks or snacks or fast food before going to bed.

WATER THERAPY is very simple, in-expensive and miraculous in its effects. This treatment method has no side effects, however at the commencement of treatment you may have to urinate a few times. NO SIDE EFFECTS.

While many foods taste great, they are also powerful healers in a vibrant multicolor disguise. The best healing remedies also taste fabulous (I can’t say that about any prescription medications). Plus, foods won’t cause the nasty common side effects that most drugs cause.

1. Cherries
Muraleedharan Nair, PhD, professor of natural products and chemistry at Michigan State University, found that tart cherry extract is ten times more effective than aspirin at relieving inflammation. Only two tablespoons of the concentrated juice need to be taken daily for effective results. Sweet cherries have also been found to be effective.

6. Celery and Celery Seeds
James Duke, Ph.D., author of The Green Pharmacy, found more than 20 anti-inflammatory compounds in celery and celery seeds, including a substance called apigenin, which is powerful in its anti-inflammatory action. Add celery seeds to soups, stews or as a salt substitute in many recipes.

7. Ginger
Ginger reduces pain-causing prostaglandin levels in the body and has been widely used in India to treat pain and inflammation. A study by Indian researchers found that when people who were suffering from muscular pain were given ginger, they all experienced improvement. The recommended dosage of ginger is between 500 and 1,000 milligrams per day. If you’re taking medications, check with your health practitioner for possible herb-drug interactions.

8. Turmeric
Turmeric (curcuma longa) is the yellow spice commonly used in Indian curries. In research it has been shown to be a more effective anti-inflammatory than steroid medications when dealing with acute inflammation. Its main therapeutic ingredient is curcumin. Research shows that curcumin suppresses pain through a similar mechanism as drugs like COX-1 and COX-2 inhibitors (without the harmful side effects). Choose a standardized extract with 1500 mg of curcumin content per day.

9. Salmon 10. Mackerel and 11. Herring
Many fatty fish like salmon, mackerel and herring also contain these valuable oils. Omega-3s convert in the body into hormone-like substances that decrease inflammation and pain. According to Dr. Alfred D. Steinberg, an arthritis expert at the National Institute of Health, fish oil is an anti-inflammatory agent. Fish oil acts directly on the immune system by suppressing 40 to 55 percent of the release of cytokines, compounds known to destroy joints. Many other studies also demonstrate that eating moderate amounts of fish or taking fish oil reduces pain and inflammation, particularly for arthritis sufferers.

12. Flax Seeds and Flax Oil
Freshly-ground flax seeds and cold-pressed flax oil, contain plentiful amounts of fatty acids known as Omega-3s. Do not cook with flax oil otherwise it will have the opposite effect-irritating the body’s tissues and causing pain.

13. Raw Walnuts and Walnut Oil
Raw walnuts and walnut oil also contain the same powerful Omega-3 fatty acids that fight pain and inflammation in the body.

**Note: Before you begin a fast, It is highly recommended that you receive a consultation from Naturopathic Physician to determine your nutritional/health level. Individuals who have extreme nutritional deficiencies, mental stress, toxic and dysfunctional organs will make their condition worst when they fast without a Naturopathic Physician’s care. **

Fasting does not mean starvation. It's a method of body purification. Fasting is observed by people who adopt naturopathic diet only once in a month. On the day of fasting one is supposed to have only drinks that cleans the body, such as cucumber juice and coconut water. Always keep dinner as minimum to the vegetable soups,fruits and salads.

What is Fasting?
Fasting is primarily the act of willingly abstaining from some or all food, drink, or both, for a period of time. Fasting is to go at least 12 Hours without eating or chewing solid foods.

A HEALING FAST- To go at least 24 hours without eating or chewing solid foods. A healing fast over a 12-hour fast is highly recommended.

There are 3 types of fasting

A. Water Fasting- This is done with distilled water or mineral water.

B.  Juice Fasting – Vegetable drink, Chlorophyll (Green Drink), Master Cleanse, or Fruit drink.     

The following fruits are recommended during a fast (drinking fruit juice is optional during a fast)

You can notice the mucus or toxins in your urine. Keeping the bowels clean will make you feel better. As long as the waste is in the circulation you will feel miserable during a fast. When the colon and Kidneys pass the waste out of the body you will better instantly. This can happen several times during a fast.  The less you drink the more aggressive the HEALING CRISIS.

Cleansing the Bowels
·       Herbal Teas- Cascara Sagrada, Aloe Vera Juice, Senna or Raw Apple Juice.
·       Salt Water Cleanse- Prepare a full quart of luck-warm water and add two teaspoons of unionized sea salt. Drink the entire quart of salt and water first thing in the morning. This must be taken on an empty stomach. Best taken first thing in the morning.
·        Enemas- Garlic, Catnip, Coffee, or Lemon Enemas. Enemas can be performed daily on the colon while on a fast. Or you can use an enema once every other day or 3-4 a week.

Avoid the following activities while fasting
Do not look at or listen to local or worldly news.
Do not gossip or speak negative about anyone including yourself.
Listen to calming music only. No negative music (instrumental music is best).
Distance yourself from negative situations and people (This includes family members).
Do not tell the world that you are on a fast (let not your right hand know what your left hand is doing).
No sexual activity of any kind. (this includes masturbation).

How long should one fast?
One 24-hours fast a week or one 3-day fast every month or Four 7-10 day fast once a season (SPRING, SUMMER, FALL, WINTER)
Healers-  21- 30 day fast once a year. Long fasting is great to rid the body of cancer, tumors and cyst; however, long fasting without the supervision of a fasting specialist is not recommended.

Who should not fast!
Chemotherapy patients
Radiation patients
Drug addicts or previous drug addicts should not fast.
